10 new projects approved in the second half of 2017

8 micro-local development initiatives and 2 Health/Respiratory research projects were approved respectively by the Project Selection Committee and the Board of Directors in October and November 2017. A total of 284 projects have thus been approved by the Air Liquide Foundation since its creation in 2008 with 340 employees of the Group involved.


Health / Respiration

  • Role of sleep disorders in cellular senescence and aging – France
  • Study of pulmonary infections due to the bacterium Pseudomonas Aeruginosa in patients with cystic fibrosis – France

Education & Training

  • “Reading Challenge”, promotes students’ reading in class and independently
    in Buenos Aires – Argentina
  • Sewing training for widows and single mothers – Cameroon
  • Construction of a health center for the village school of Mahasoa – Madagascar
  • Traveling exhibition for gender equality – France


  • An inclusive play area specially designed for children with disabilities – Romania
  • A 3D printer as an occupational therapy tool serving people with disabilities – France


  • Development of a reception center for young victims of abuse – Chile
  • “Pain pour deux mains” [Bread for a Helping Hand], fitting out of an integration site by recycling bread – France
