11 new projects approved in the second quarter of 2017

11 local development micro-initiatives were approved by the Projects Selection Committee in the second quarter of 2017. A total of 276 projects have thus been approved by the Air Liquide Foundation since its creation in 2008, with 330 employees of the Group involved.


Education & Training

  • Developing professional training for women in the region of Essaouira – Morocco
  • Continued training in digital careers of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds – Philippines
  • Equipping a technical high school in the region of Kumamoto following the 2016 earthquake Japan
  • Refurbishing a primary school and supporting the education of young girls – Togo

Access to healthcare

  • Treating parasitic diseases that can lead to blindness – Ghana
  • Combating malnutrition in the periphery of Ouagadougou – Burkina Faso


  • Creating an animal-assisted therapy in an educational farm – France
  • Creating a web platform to help develop access to information for the deaf and hard-of-hearing – France
  • Developing a sports activity for people suffering from muscular dystrophy – Singapore


  • Supporting young Brazilians from disadvantaged backgrounds through tennis – Brazil
  • Developing a social and professional integration center for young people in precarious situation – India
