Disabilities: 30% of all projects in France

On 16 November, the Group’s Mission Handicap in France, which was renamed “HandivAirsity”, summed up its vision with a new Europe-wide goal in just a few words – “By everyone, everywhere, for everyone!”.

Now is the time to remember all of the hard work the subsidiaries and the Foundation have done since 2008, assisting with over 30 projects in France (both continental and overseas). This means that disabilities are a priority amongst the projects the Foundation supports in France.

The Foundation participates in projects that focus on enhancing psychomotor skills to help people with physical and mental disabilities increase their autonomy, interact socially and access leisure activities.

The Foundation wishes to use its expertise to support other subsidiaries’ endeavors to help people with disabilities, particularly in Europe.

As a representative for people with disabilities at Air Liquide France Industrie, I was excited about this association right away. It not only creates a place for sharing and exchange—it provides a designated space for the disabled. The initiatives suggested by Plus Petit Cirque du Monde seem perfectly aligned with the Foundation and Air Liquide’s commitments to people with disabilities.
